 Ruth C Duck (1947 – )

  • Prolific and noted composer, writer, and adoptor of hymns.  Wrote over 150 hymns and edited three books of sources for worship services.  She is a leading contemporary for, and developer of, inclusive language in both hymnody and worship.
  • The Hymn Society in the United States honored Duck for her contributions to congregational song and granted her its highest honor—making her a Fellow in 2013.
